Facts verses Truth. I am still
struggling with the power of it in every area of our lives. Often I need to
look at the issues, each one as it comes, and deicide if I am seeing Fact or Truth.
Facts verses Truth. Someone had said that the proof is in the pudding.
If we have learned this lesson, even in part, we’ll see changes in our
lives. I believe that Willie and I are
getting better at following Truth.
In health: The fact is that we felt some aches and
pains this year. However, while in 2009 we
experienced major illnesses, this year we had victories. We are slowing down and feeling weather
changes; but, there is spring in our walk and this year we are able to climb up
stairs, and I even started to jog. We cut
down the number of medications to a minimum and we discovered some great
vitamins and DNA correctors. These are
all facts. We can feel them and, daily, we live these facts.
The Truth is that God heals. That
did not change since 2009 when I wrote it first on the blog. It is still true. He created the universe wholesome and well.
The Truth is that He gives us strength to go through the diseases and to learn
to lean on Him for strength and for complete healing. We learned this year that
He heals in different ways through different means, never the same way. But His healing is available to us
non-the-less. The facts are moving away
from our bodies, the Truth stays with us and strengthen us to walk in Divine
Health.
We have learned that health is God’s
business, and we are continuing to tap into that source.
In finances: The fact is that we do not generate
income. This did not change. We
volunteer in governmental offices, we visit seniors in Nursing Homes, we teach and pray and proclaim His love daily,
but the busy life we lead do not produce an income. However, we bought a flat in Nahariya and were
able to secure a mortgage. In the next
few days will get the keys to it. We are
excited.
Truth says that God is our
supplier. Truth changed Facts . We are learning to hear His directions. When He
told us it is time to buy a flat, we followed and experienced miracles. We are
living His promises of supplying according to His riches in glory.
In family relations: The fact is that we are still lonesome
for our family. Our longing for our children
and our grandchildren only intensified with the passing of time. We are missing
them more then ever. We would love to be
able to spend more time with them. The fact is that we don’t hear enough from
them and at times it hurts the heart. The fact is that we are very far away.
The Truth is that we are connected
with the love of family, and the strength of blood and the love of God. The Truth
is that God allowed us a quick visit this year.
About 16 days and 8 flights connected us with the young branch in
Western Canada and also enable us to attend Willie’s father 90th
birthday. It was a special gift to be able to attend that family event. Also, we found our extended family in the land
– all these cousins with their spouses and their grandkids. We met for holidays and since some had died
recently, we also met each other at the
grave sites. The joy and mourning of
life. The Truth is that we are in each
other’s heart and mind and that our visits when we meet face to face are filled
with qualitative and memorable times.
The Truth is that love never fails, and love will always connect us.
In daily life: The fact is that our past feeling of
being small and insignificant are not plaguing us as often as before. The fact is that during the recent war in
South Israel – Pillar of Defense – we found the struggles with the language and
the culture lessen. During that war we
realized how much we belong in this land and with this nation.
The Truth is that God had gone
before us. That He had called us to return to Israel. The Truth is that all things are possible to
those who believe in Yeshua and are called according to His purpose. The Truth
is that God is bringing His people, the descended of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob back to His chosen
land to populate it and to inherit it and we are but two of the many. The Truth
is that Willie and I are called to prepare the way for others who will come
behind us, and that God Himself already equipped us with the needed abilities,
personality traits and know-how to blaze the trails.
Fact or Truth. Which one would we
confess? Which one would we believe?
When Joshua told the new nation of
Israel before they cross the Jordan, “as for me and my house we will trust the
Lord” he had put before them the same question. He emphasized that we need to
choose between Life and Death, between following God or our own ideas, between
Truth or fact.
Three years later, Willie and I are continuing
to choose Truth.
