We received a dinner invitation for tonight after Oneg
Shabbat Service. In Israel it seems that dinner invitations only go out on the
high holidays and only by family members or very close friends. We are used to being invited and sending
invitation at least once a week in Canada, so the change is hard and foreign. This
invitation was a rear occasion for us.
We spend the evening with a friend who also invited a young
couple with two boys, 4 and 6 years of age. Five of them spoke Hungarian, our friend
spoke Hebrew,
Willie spoke a English and then there was
me. The three languages went around the
table in circles and after everything was said three times, we ate more because
we set around the table longer and we laughed a lot. It was fun.
That new immigrant couple lives 10 minutes' walk from
us. They are here only one month. What a great designer God is, He gave us new
friends right up the park way and introduced us to them in Hungarian.
38th day of Praise - Thank you God for loving our people
and introducing them to us via other friends and through dinner invitations
Full to the brim,
Orith
