I've heard it said many
times, that random acts of kindness can change the world. I try to remember that when I go about my day
and usually succeed in flashing a bright smile or slowing down to allow someone
else to pass me on the sidewalk.
But this past week or so I
noticed that I am the recipient of many such acts of kindness.
A friend returned from a
trip overseas and brought a warm pair of fleece slacks back as an unexpected
gift.
A woman offered her front
seat to Willie on the bus so we can sit together on the hour long ride to
another city.
A bus driver drove us
closer to our house, after he finished his night shift, so the long half an hour
walk in the evening cold weather took only 10 minutes.
A security guard opened
wide the door for me as I walked into the bank seeing that my hands were loaded
with paper work.
People look for opportunities
to be helpful, to be kind, and to be friendly. I enjoy being on the receiving side of such
acts.
36th day of Praise - Thank
you God for putting in my path kind, friendly and helpful people; Thank you God
for Random Acts of Kindness which enriche my daily walk
Smiling with delight,
Orith

And G-d;s heart delights in recognizing and receiving His provision...all those "random" acts that He worked so hard to organize!
