Healing, Walking, Declaring

Last night during Erev-Shabbat service, the congregation prayed for healing; a few of us are hurting in our backs, legs and feet.

An answer was given from God that the healing connected to the land. When we walk, we are to declare that every step we take is a step which we take on our inheritance. It is the Lord's land which was given to our forefathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, thus it is our land.  The healing will come as the declaration will be uttered.

A daily walk with a daily declaration will bring healing.

A verse was read in connection to the promise,  " Rise up and walk through the land, in the length of it and in the breadth of it, for I will give it to you." (Gen 13:17)

This morning I was searching some verses regarding walking, healing and declaring. There are many verses which deal with legs and feet. Interesting to note, that the feet bring peace and good news; God protects the feet and legs, and as they come in contact with the land - the inheritance established.

Before the Jordan crossing, "Moses swore on that day, saying, surely the land on which your feet have trodden shall be your inheritance and your sons' forever because you have fully followed the Lord my God."

In Psalms, "He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber."

On our daily walks, Willie and I had to declare that promise often.

When we start in the morning, as soon as my right foot hits the first stair down, it complains. We have X-Ray copies to prove that the bones on top of the foot are glued one to another and this is the cause of the pain. The local orthopedic surgeons (and I visited a few of them) told us that it cannot be corrected and the condition will only worsen. But as we walk out we declare that every step we take is cementing the promise that this land is our inheritance from God - and the pain subsides and we keep on walking.

I believe that we need to declare our healing as God reveals to us His intent. No doubt I would have loved to be instantly healed and see the bones unstuck; however, I learned that the pain increases my daily dependency on God and bring me closer to Him.  That too is healing.

60th Day of Praise -
Thank you God for healing my feet and legs and back daily, so I can walk on this Land which you gave to my people and declare it my own.

Being healed daily,

Orith
