We live in two worlds - both are valid and each has its own system. One
world is based on old thoughts that uplift the individual and his ability to
overcome by his own creative and positive power; the other world is based on
the belief that there is a supreme being which directs and helps each person to
overcome. One world upholds power, the
other upholds love; one world craves recognition, the other teaches humility. The form of exchange in one world is money; the
form of exchange in the other world is prayer.
We live in the one world and it forces us to participate in its system;
however, we belong in the other world which is the Kingdom of God and we can strive
to live by its values.
I am angry at the 70+ rockets that Gaza shot at south of Israel. The world
I live in shouts for revenge and speaks hate from both sides of the border. Who
am I to decide which the right response is?
I don't live in the bombing zone, my children are not in danger, and I am
not exposed to the fear and the trauma.
I do, however, pray.
I clasped my husband's hand and we prayed to the King of the Kingdom of
Heaven. We sent to Him the form of exchange that works with Him. We asked for a
solution of peace and for no blood shade if possible. We also asked that He
will decide what the correct response to the rockets is and that He will
protect His people as He promised to do in His Word.
And we left Him to decide how His love will overcome the system of hate
in our world.
72nd Day of Praise - Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most
High shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will
say of the LORD, my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust. Surely
He will deliver you from the fowler's trap and from the destroying plague. He
shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust. His
truth shall be your shield, and buckler. You shall not fear the terror by
night; nor because of the arrow that flies by day; nor for the plague that
walks in darkness, of the destruction laying waste at noonday. A thousand shall
fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; it shall not come near
you. Only with your eyes you shall look and see the reward of the wicked.
Because
You, O LORD, are my refuge; if you have made the Most High Your dwelling-place,
no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He
shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways; they shall
bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread
on the lion and adder; the young lion and the jackal you shall trample
underfoot.
Because he
has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high,
because he has known My name. He shall call on Me, and I will answer him; I will
be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life I
will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
Holding on to the World of Love,
Orith
