Shoah

There is nothing that I can say about The Shoah that others did not say before and better.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, and it has settled on us with the pain, the horrors and the darkness it was.

Often I shudder at the effects of that horrid time before I was born that I see today around me here in Israel. How can one even assume that this was a hoax, or that it can be forgotten and left in the past?

Daily I meet people who survived the Nazi's atrocities; people that suffered psychologically from their childhood with parents who lived with hidden skeletons of their Jewishness, and people who are shell shocked by every loud sound around them.

Anti-Semitism started way back in Moses time with Amalek, and it raises its ugly head today with Iran; same evil with a different face and a different language, but full of hate just the same.

Generation after generation give birth to an enemy that rises up attempting  to annihilate Israel, and in every generation God is saving us from their hands.

116th Day of Praiseful Thanks -
I thank you God for bringing good out of evil; for saving Your people out of extinction again and again, and for creating new life out of ashes and dead bones.

Thank you God life for Israel, my people
