Prayers of a Friend

35 C today
Last night I dreamt about obstacles.

In my dream, Willie and I were travelling.  We walked into a simple hotel room for the night and we said to each other - "that's enough; we don't need more than that."  We had visitors in that simple room, who came in and left.  Then a couple family members came to visit.  The woman told us that in order to receive an inheritance, we need to comeback to Canada; her husband said that he is building some invention and if we want to receive royalties, we need to change something, not sure what.  They left us feeling as if they think badly of our choices.

As the dream continued, we went outside.  We've never been there before, so we looked around trying to find a way to go across the busy street between cars and trucks who kept swiveling and honking horns.  Suddenly, Gina was there, with her loving smile she stood behind us, "where is the movie theatre?"  I asked her, and she pointed directly foreword to a wonderful looking pink structure.  Then she took me by the hand and led me through the busy traffic; a truck tire ran over my foot but we continued to cross the street.  I turned to look at Willie and tell him that if you want something you always have to give up something else, but we were on the sidewalk safely by then and I woke up.

When I woke up I knew:

1. We have to choose between doing what God is telling us to do and what people tell us.  In the last few weeks a few people say to us unexpectedly, "we want to give you money to do….or to pay such and such…or to start a …."  We smiled yet left it to the Lord.  We did not change direction and there is nothing new in our bank account.  God will continue to direct us and to supply our needs as He sees fit. We depend totally on Him.

2. The prayers of a friend for protection and safety avail much.  Gina has been praying for us for a very long time, she is one of many of God's warriors around the World who support us in prayers.  All these prayers, represented by Gina's hand taking mine to guide us across the busy street, are the safety net that keeps us living in Israel no matter what the situation is politically - economically - spiritually.

180th Day of Praise -
Thank you God for Gina and for  the many prayer warriors around the globe who pray for us daily and keep us from being run over by trucks, or from changing direction when You did not direct us, or just giving up and staying indoors.  We thank you God that they are praying so we can make it straight ahead to the beautiful pink theatre.  Amen.

Humbled,

Orith
