A New Assignment

Yosi 1st Day
God always knows what we need…long before we know it ourselves.

After four years of volunteering with the municipality, the aged, in offices and homes, He gave us a new assignment.  We were looking at helping the new Olim somehow in our area, and it did not take long - we are doing it now.

afterwards
A young couple from Hungry arrived in Nahariya 8 months ago.  They live close to us, and have two young boys, 4 and 6 years old.  The young parents found jobs, and since they have no family here and they don't know the language, they have difficulties working - picking kids after school - teaching them Hebrew and doing homework - etc.

Today was our first day for us at being surrogate grandparents.  We talked to the teacher, got homework assignments, picked books from the library, arranged for doctor appointments, walked miles through the parks and climbed stairs everywhere, synchronized schedules,  and explained all we could  to parents, kids and officials all around.  Then we took the 6 years old home for the afternoon, gave him juice and pita with humus and when the late evening came and the kids and parents said good bye we sort of…collapsed.

In the next two weeks, during the Succoth holidays, we are looking after both of them.
Please pray with us.

278th Day of Praise -
I thank you God that you knew how much we miss our grandchildren and you brought to us two little boys to be our grand-grandkids here in the land. We thank you God for the wisdom and strength that you are giving to us to look after them.

Looking forward to the next adventure,

Orith
