THE JOURNEY - Day 14

 SHABBAT – 14.10.2023

The plans still circling our sky. It is 05:00 and I am up with a huge headache. Drinking water and thinking that it was not a coincidence that I started to write “The Journey” on October 1st. I had no idea why, who needs to read it, whatever. How much one wants to tell or another wants to know? But God knew.

God knew that mayhem would cover Israel in a week and all hell would break loose. God knew.

He wanted me to record it. He knew about this war and He told us about it so very long ago but we did not think it would happen in our time, we still don't.

Ezekiel 38 starts by proclaiming:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him”

you can read the chapter and the next one on your own. These are the words I kept thinking over and over. Gog and Magog, the modern Iran and Russia.

These two nations trained and supplied Hamas, Patach, Isis, Hezbollah, and every other terrorist group for years. Their tactics are ruthless, inhuman, hateful and destructive. All one can compare it to is the warning we received from the Lord Himself:

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy”

Thus we know that satan is behind all this destruction and manipulates the terrorists from inside themselves. We no longer deal with people but with entity, a demonic entity that rules their beings.

If the 'Swords of Iron' war is not the prophesied God and Magog war, then it is the prelude. We are planning to survive it either way.

It is 06:10, Willie is making coffee, and the airplanes still circling high. It is a Shabbat on our land and we hear the birds chirping. I wonder what the pilots see below – is it quiet? are the people waiting for daybreak and avoiding turning on their lights? Are the roads still empty? Or did the war cause more activities than usual?

I also think about and pray for the elderly parents of my friend who were supposed to fly back to the UK but instead set for two days in the airport because the Embassy plan did not land. I prayed that they managed to go home.

The Canadian government had asked Willie and me to let them know if we wanted an emergency flight to Canada. We are Israelis, we stay. However, there are many others that I am sure need to go back to their homes in other countries. I pray that the waited-for-airplanes land and pick them up so they can get out of this mayhem.

Ambassadors of many countries were sitting in the airport holding little flags of their lands, gathering their citizens in various corners of the terminal waiting with them for their aircraft and making sure their people made it safely out.

What a horrifying sight.

Ben Grunion International Airport is closed on Shabbat. El-Al does not fly. But maybe as the radio is turned on in the Sinagoug for safety so would the airport will open at this time. God knows what is going on, He knows it is a Shabbat, and I'm sure that He will allow the needed measure of safety. We can only pray that the chief Rabbis will allow it as well.

Even so Lord, Shabbat Shalom.
