The Journey - still Day 7

Still the 7th DAY – evening.

"Surprise Infiltration, Massive Barrages Shock Israel; At Least 70 Israelis Killed, Over 900 Wounded, Dozens of Hostages in Israel and Gaza" - news.

Many children and grandchildren of the people in the congregation were called up to serve in the army. Since we live near the North border, we are still peaceful. Our prayers included safety for the Northern border and that God may close it, so no attacks come from there. We prayed and added what monies we could to buy supplies for the people from the south who would come during the war to safe homes and public buildings. Children and the elderly will move up.

Willie will be on emergency duty tomorrow in the local hospital, I'll be in the downtown office doing what I can.

We praise God for allowing the Israelis to fight back and bring to safety the family that was abducted at the beginning of the day. Even though it is massive damage, we praise God for keeping our borders safe and our people strong and alive.

We hardly saw any cars on the roads today, but the army bases on the way to Nahariya were packed with private vehicles so we know people were called to duty and arrived. Praise God.

A war usually unites us in Israel and political views are set aside. I pray that it will be this time as well.

We had a chance to stand in a Succa – Booth today, the first and only time this year. Thank God we did.
