17.12.2023 – SUNDAY. Day 72 @ SWORDS OF IRON WAR.

Fog. Blame. Guilt. Israel is an expert on these emotions. My very best friend who is now in Heaven, used to tell me, “There is a life without guilt”. I agreed, but...

Churchill told Queen Elizabeth in the early days of her reign to bring order to her ministers, “They are all products of their upbringing, British upper class and spoiled boys. They need to listen to their nanny or go without supper to the nursery”. It is recorded that she followed his advice and it worked. Her government recovered its focus. Often I smile when I recall this and hope we'll have a similar action for our government.

But the Israeli government members are not upper-class British, they are a product of the Israeli mindset. They are spoiled, self-centered and guilt-ridden sons whose mothers think they are gods. Since the entire nation is of a similar background, it is no wonder that disagreements break often. During the 7/10 war, while guilt shame and blame were prevalent, and every action from the Hamas terror attack to the mistakenly shooting of the 3 hostages, and to finding an opening of a terror tunnel under a baby crib, blame imminently rising.

However, a miracle happened.

Miraculously, the nation of Israel united itself around its people with love and unprecedented help. Today, on the 72nd day of the war, the Israelis still freely give up their time and substance. Groups harvest at the evacuated farms; groups rebuilt destroyed houses, kinder-gardens and schools; groups collect food items and clothing and drive across the country to deliver them to army units and evacuees, and more groups increased their prayer times by seven-fold.

In our early prayer group, we shared that in the last few days, we noticed a spiritual and physical blanket of Fog. Fog brings confusion, disorientation, and fake news. Our prayers today included the lifting of that fog.

At some point during the prayers, it registered with me that God has been nudging me for the last few days, to pray the Kaddish prayer. The Kaddish is prayed in Aramaic and Hebrew, each day during the first year of mourning. It is a beautiful praise to God for His greatness and goodness and ends with a cry, “He who makes peace in His high places, may He make peace for us and for all Israel; and say ye Amen.”

I thought that today was the day of my mother's memorial. After we prayed that prayer, the fog lifted enough for me to realize that she died on March 17, not December 17. The prayer brought a ray of light into minds and dispersed the fog.

When I shared that confusion, other group members shared that they had similar experiences this week. So we are praying for a ray of light from God to disperse the fog around the country, the IDF, the government and the people.

In less than an hour after our prayers, the following bulletin arrived:

The wounded! Civilians and IDF:

Since October 7, 2023, 10,939 wounded have been evacuated to the hospitals, among them 491 in serious or critical condition, 910 in moderate condition, 604 in anxiety and mental casualties, and 8,599 in light condition. Over 2000 military and security personnel were defined as disabled by the IDF since the beginning of the war.

With it arrived a list of prayer requests:
•Pray for life! For miracles! •Fast and complete physical medicine.
•Absolute mental strength for doctors and medical staff.
•Revelation of God for the wounded and their families precisely in the difficult situation.
•Support for the families of the wounded.

(Isaiah 53:4-5) Indeed, he bore our illnesses, and our pain carried them, yet we accounted him as plagued, smitten by God and oppressed: But he was pained because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his wound we were healed.

(arrived while I am writing) They just woke E.E. after he had been put into a coma and his first words were, “I was so close to the explosion and it’s a miracle I am alive.”

(Exodus 15:26) For I am the Lord who heals you.”

(James 5:15) And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

God is our ray of light. God is our peace. God is our healer. God is our creator and He can do all things. Israel stands on the promises of God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in Yeshua's Name. Amen.
