28.12.2023 – Thursday. War Day 83 @ SWORDS OF IRON.

Thoughts...

Israeli music usually centers around current events - this war had more of its share - this one seems to be a pinnacle of musical expression. Listen. You feel the heart of the Israeli nation beat.

Russian-Ukrainian War Start date: February 24, 2022 They are on War Day 673.

I've been praying for them and for peace over there,  off and on in these last 2 years, but more so in the last 2 days. Ukrainians celebrate Christmas on January 6 – I remember the celebration of their large community in Edmonton, Alberta. But this year they chose to celebrate it on December 25th. I heard an explanation and it was because of the war, but I don't recall the whole reason behind it. I felt that they were suffering at the hands of the Russians and that they needed prayers. So I added them to my daily prayer list.

The world needs peace!

A friend visited today from Haifa. It is not that far, but it is the first she has been able to come in all the time we have known her – Thank God; she brought so much beauty and love with her; Good friends do that even if they visit only once every few years

The verse I got today during the prayer time, is so far off from reality! I struggle to accomplish it daily. Yet, I know it is a reminder that God is great, even if we have to go through much strife and hardship and war – He is staying Great.

(Philippians 4:8)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
