TUESDAY. Day 67 - SWORDS OF IRON WAR.

12.12.2023 – THE 6TH CANDLE OF CHANUKAH (after dark)

In our morning prayers this morning, we learned that a new directive has been implemented by the IDF.

It is well known that in our army, the commanders go first before the soldiers. Moses walked before the nation into the desert and since then the leaders have gone first. In this war, they added to the commander a medic. Every unit has a medic, but now they are upfront. This way they see the wounded right away and give them a life-saving treatment a few minutes earlier. They found that by giving the medical help in the first hour of the wound, they saved lives. There were many wounded in this war, but only 104 soldiers were reported dead. Our medics go first with the commanders and get to the ones who need them within the critical hour.

Willie (zeev)Cunningham writes:

The fruit of flowing with the supernatural presence of God is having a living testimony. In the life of every believer, there must be a living testimony of the miracle-working presence of God. Without this, we only have a religious belief system to offer people. The children of Israel were crossing the Jordan River and were told to take twelve stones from the river and carry them to where they were to camp that night. It was a memorial and a testimony to what God did for Israel. Stopping the flow of the river so they could cross over it. Reading the book of Joshua we find that God was involved daily with Israel. Sometimes, as in their defeat at Ai, (Joshua 7:1-26). God had to correct their sinfulness before they could move forward. Each time God intervenes, we have a testimony of God's grace at work in our lives. This proves God's love for us. This is how the unbeliever gets to know that God is real and that He is involved in the lives of man. This became the reason all nations in the world would know that there is a God, who is involved with His people Israel”. (Today's Daily Manna)

Our army and how it conducts itself is a living testimony to the reality of God in our lives. Its caring for civilians, including in the enemy camp, to the point of sacrificial behaviour is proof that God's miracles are daily manifest in our midst. The unity and love of the Israelis one to another, is a confirmation that Yeshua is the Messiah of the Jews and He is alive and well today.

In Revelation 3:14-16 Apostle John admonished the Laodiceans,

These things say the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

We prayed today that we would be hot for Yeshua. That we will be bold and able to declare that Yeshua is the Lord of all; that He is The Messiah of Israel, and that we will not be “wish-washi” in our speech.

I don't want to fear the opinion of others so strongly that it will affect my behaviour and hinder the declaration of my faith so that God will vomit me out of His mouth.

God, please give me grace and favour to follow my Leader, as the soldiers follow their commanders and medics into the battle knowing that they will be protected and healed. Amen.
