Today is the first day of the third month of the War of the Swords of Iron.
Israel is still fighting Hamas and trying to get the hostages back. Babies included.
The entire population on the Home Front volunteered to help with the harvest; clean paint and rebuild the destructed homes; feed and look after animals in the places that were forced to evacuate; supply and deliver clothes and food to needy areas, and give a hand everywhere and anywhere it is needed. Full buses brought volunteers to needed areas today and there is a major thrust organized of volunteers preparing to move forward tomorrow.
The entire nation is an army.
Tomorrow is the first candle of Hanuka. This is the historic celebration of reclaiming the Temple at the time of the Greeks in our land. Even Yeshua celebrated this Feast. Hanuka means dedication, for the Temple was rededicated to God around 167 BC.
(John 10:22-23) Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch
It is also called Feast of Lights, for we lit for 8 days the “hanukia” = a menorah with 9 candle sticks, in memory of the event. In Israel, Hanuka is viewed as a time of miracles since it was a miracle of oil for the temple lamp that lasted 8 days, allowing the dedication to take place.
This year, there are prayers everywhere that ask for a miracle.
(Psalm
125:1-2)
Those
who trust in the Lord,
Are
like
Mount Zion,
Which
cannot
be moved, but
abides
forever.
As
the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord
surrounds
His people
From
this time forth and forever.
A miraculous event that will bring the hostages home, unharmed and the war to end with Hamas defeated.
