SWORDS OF IRON WAR. Day107.

SUNDAY.         21.1.2024

My favourite day of the week. My sons call. At times I can see/hear my daughters-in-law and my grandkids, which adds to the joy of experiencing the calls. But the calls from the boys themselves add years to my life. Thank God for the Technology and for their willingness to use it.

One couple is in the melting snow area planning on a water exercise class while the other couple is on a hot beach having a great vacation. The grandkids are all sleeping so they can work the other six days in their jobs. It is so good to hear that all is well with the offspring. God, please bless them and their families with your many blessings. One of my boys told me that life expectancy is so high that our grandkids might live to 130. it is good they all have jobs and make money; For such a long life they'll need it. Mind you, when I look at the situation in Israel and Ukraine and I know that a great war is on the horizon, I wonder if their generation will make it to such a great age.

The IDF is still in Gaza. Lebanon was bombed today at some strategic points, voices rise up with warnings that our people are losing the war, and there is a sense of negativity sipping into our speech and stature. Some soldiers are returning after the long service for the first time to see their families, sharing that they feel the government and the army care more about the Gazans than about the Israeli soldiers.

I close my eyes and I see the new neighbourhoods that were just erected and their sky scarpers on fire. There aren't enough firefighters or water to put it all out. But I know it is the stress talking because outside my window all is quiet and the evening is turning into a night full of stars and peace.

My love reminded me of the 12 spies of Moses. They returned from the first “trip” to the Promised Land, 10 with complaints and 2 with positive reports. The 2 said, “With God, we can do it”. (my summation). But because of the 10 (the majority ruled even then it seems), Moses had them all turned around and walked the desert for 40 more years.

Oops. I want to be on the winning side.

With God, we will win. All we need is to believe. God please forgive our unbelief, and please walk with us to Victory.
