SUNDAY 25.2.2024 (Fast & repentance)
The first day started with repentance for self. A great trust is apparent in our prayer group as people confess their sins out loud.
My microphone didn't work – so I prayed incognito. A sister helped me to bring the microphone back to life.
I've been lighting candles – memorial candles all through the war. It doesn't make sense but it feels right. The innocent who died by terrorists and the soldiers who fought the battles in this war are all people of our nation. I might not know them personally, but I want to remember their lives nonetheless. So when I light a candle it is for their memories. I used to light the 25-hour candle and later found a week-long memorial candle and last week I found a 3-day candle. So I light one with the sabbath candles on a Friday, let it burn till its end, and light another one. It brings me close to the war on the front and gives me a sense of belonging to the nation.
