Thunder, lightning, and buckets of water during the night had opened our eyes to a wet morning. The thunders sounded louder than any rockets.
How great You are oh Lord, how majestic is Your Name. You reminded us that the world was created by You in only 6 days and You can turn around the present conditions of our lives in a quick moment.
Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be restored; Renew our days as of old. (Lamentations 5:21)
Restore us Lord to a time before any trauma, please bring us back to You and allow us to experience Your perfect love.
I keep hearing that Israel today is like the days in the time of the book of Judges “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 21:25).
I don't believe it.
A large segment of people are indeed following New Age ideas and looking for inner peace in idol worship; however, the promise to our people is: “One man of you puts to flight a thousand since it is the LORD your God who fights for you, just as he promised you” (Joshua 23:10). Israel is under God's protection. We who believe in Him, even if only a remnant, are promised protection and strength over and above all attacks. Even if the world around us seems to be selfish and self-centred and following false gods, still, with God we are overcomers. Yes, we are to pray for the fallen world; yes, we are to ask God to fulfill His promise that “all of Israel will be saved” and again ( Isaiah 59:20-21) “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob”, but we need to concentrate on the good and on the salvation of God instead of worry about satan juggling events and people around us.
The names of 592 IDF casualties in the Swords of Iron War have been released for publication. Since the beginning of ground operations in Gaza on October 27, 2023, 249 soldiers have been killed in battle. As of yesterday, March 18, 2024, one more was pronounced dead bringing the total number to 250. We thank God for His miracle that no more had died.
I keep praying for t
he soldiers' safety and the young women among them are heavy on my heart. A friend wrote of her 3 daughters, “A. and B. were combat soldiers, and C. just as well should have been because of all the stuff she had to do”, this is hard for a parent. Generations of Israeli parents lived through the same predicament. The whole nation's heart is aching.
Willie wrote in his Daily Manna, “ Often we have heard it said that the battle is not ours but the Lord's. As I sit at my desk writing this to you, I am aware of how true this is... We worship Yeshua as the commander of this Army, looking to Him for grace on how to move forward, as part of His Army, at His command. We enter this battle through our Praise and Worship, which changes the atmosphere on the battlefield from defeat to victory.”
We need to remember that.
Thank you, God, for continually fighting our battles.
