TIME TO PRAY
*2 Chronicles 7:14*
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
We are in the 10 horrible days, between Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur. Few fast, most pray. This year, the call for prayer is touching many people who did not seem to pray before, and it is stronger than in the last few years.
Israelis are aware of the politics and the hatred that surrounds us, and we know we are alone in this war. Yes, we have a friend in Trump, but...
The disagreements in our governments and the lack of unity are not helping us to feel safe.
Only God!
He is the only one who can help, overcome, and change things. We can only trust in God.

The first rainstorm arrived in Nahariya yesterday.
Willie wrote: "Can you imagine 110 mm or 4.5 inches fell in Nahariya in 4 hours. This is a new record from 95mm in 1932."
Of course, our streets were flooded at 10 am, but were bone dry by the afternoon, once the rain stopped. Praise God - we need rain. I believe that we will have a huge Aliya this new year of 5786, and God gave us "a down payment" of water to remind us that He will supply our needs and the needs of the newcomers. Our Father in Heaven gives us all we need before we realize that we need it.

My eyes are not improving even after almost 2 years of shots inside the eye. Also, I fell last week, on my back, in a front yard of friends, on huge stones. No broken bones, thank God, but the pain!!! Thank God He is with me and is healing me, and now I get to sleep all day long if I feel like it. The physician told me it will take a least 4 weeks, but if God wills, it'll be faster.
Thus, Willie started a part-time job - looking after me. He cooks, or buys from the local restaurants and brings food home; cleans the house; pushes me out of bed and pulls me out of chairs, when I cannot move; finds the cane, which I often misplace, and the best - he reads to me the bible out loud. All these on top of his writing of the "Daily Manna" and his weekly videos on Tuesdays, and his volunteer work in the hospital. What a guy! A wonderful gift from God.

Our young people are still fighting on all fronts. Many were called again and were not given time off for the holidays. Some of my family members and some offspring of friends, who were given 2-4 weeks rest in the two years to see their little children and wives, but were on the front lines since October 8, 2023.
While Nahariya is quiet, despite being near the Lebanon border, the Northern Border still experiences intense fighting. Samariay and Judia are also exchanging fire daily, Gaza is seeing some horrendous action, and the search for the hostages is in full swing. Two nights ago, "A drone launched from Yemen struck Eilat on Wednesday evening, wounding at least 20 people in the city’s tourist district near the Mall HaYam shopping center, Israeli authorities said.
Magen David Adom reported that at least five people were hit by shrapnel, one of them seriously. Others were treated for anxiety. All were evacuated to Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat."

A Canadian friend came on a tour to Jerusalem. "All Nations Convocation" is on before Succut. She called me yesterday. What a delight to see and hear an overseas friend. I thank God that He put us on her heart and praise Him for the technology.
Such communications are becoming more and more important lately. For whatever reason, more than ever, I look forward to hearing and seeing family and friends. Please keep using it.
God bless you and keep you, and may you see answers to all your prayers this New Year 5786.
