LAST DAY OF 2012

We went for a walk this morning.  The last day of the year exploded with warmth and sun-rays and flowers and birds singing. Delightful.

Start of a Park
This week, as I changed my address in various organizations, people asked me over and over again, “why did you move there”? implying that the area is below standards. They would never move to such an area of town - was the feeling one got.  It is cheaper then the rest of town, it is quality-less, it is… whatever.  To one who insisted I simply said that we live within our means and not over extend ourselves into debts.  But at the end, I got tired of explaining and I told them that we… love it here. Yes, we do.
One of Many Flower Beds

This morning, we walked to the local strip mall.  What a peaceful walk we had. At the back of our building starts a park. Its cobble stones walkways meander between benches, tall eucalyptus trees, schools, play areas, and flower beds. It spread for three blocks or more and one’s lungs are filled with fresh air. The walk’s natural fragrant, birds chirping and children  laughter bring up smiles and feelings of well being. We walked in that warmth of body and soul for a while.

Happy New 2013 to you all. Be well, be peaceful, be loved, be blessed.
