Rain Storm

Thunders and lightning; coughing and sneezing, and a scared cat that sneaks her way under covers and warms your feet - that was our night.

The region's seven years of drought were over in 2013 with rain falls that filled the natural reservoirs along the Jordan River, but the inhabitants still feel the effects of the drought.

The Kingdom of Jordan with 6,687,103 people on 89,342 km of land and the State of Israel with 8,015,000 people on 25,233 km of land share more than a common border. They also share the water in the Sea of Galilee and in the Dead Sea. Many people and much land - all need water.  Both sides of Jordan River seek it. Each rain fall is noticed. Each rain fall is welcomed with thanksgiving.

Last night we had a rain storm. We welcomed it as the blessing it is and allowed the scared cat to sleep under the covers at our feet.

28th day of Praise - Thank you God for supplying us with enough water to match the population growth; You are keeping your promise to supply our needs, and Your rain falls remind us of Your goodness; Thank you Abba God for the rain.

Somewhat chilly, yet dry
