I love reading. I love holding a book in my hand and just going
through the pages.
Since childhood, I fall asleep much better if I read. Lately, it
is harder to hold a book lying down. First, because my eyes need glasses and it
is uncomfortable to lie on my side with glasses on. Second, because the books
are heavy for my hands that are not as strong as they used to be. But somehow I
manage to read in bed.
A block away from us there is the library. By now we are on first
name basis with the librarians. I am finding old books that I read in English
long ago and now I'm reading them in Hebrew, or I just pick up a new book in
either language. It is handy to have the library close by and to be able to
just enjoy it.
Thirteenth Day, 2014 -Thank you God for the nearby library, for
the authors who laboured to write them and for the librarians who kept them in
good condition so they can be read; Thank you God for books
Loving the printed word
