Our friends returned from the States after a few weeks with their family. Another couple is returning tomorrow. I was so happy to hear their voices.
Before they left I was concern. I had no idea why I was so concern but I told them to check their flights and make sure that if something is not going right to have another "escape route", just in case.
The day before the boarded the plane, 3000 flights were canceled; the snow almost shut down the cities, and the main roads were unsafe for driving. We've prayed for their safety over and over again the whole time they were travelling.
We called today and they told us that their son was able to drive his car out of the drive way without a hitch, the plane left on time, and the flight was uneventful.
They are glad to be home in the warmth of the sun. So do we.
25th Day of Thanks - thank you God for travel mercies and for keeping us safe and sound everywhere on the globe in all kinds of weather.
After a slow walk in the neighbourhood,
Orith
