Today, the first of
February, Shabbat, Family Day in Israel, and the first of Adar; our sages
proclaimed that when Adar enters, joy increases = כשנכנס אדר מרבים בשמחה.
I could feel that joy last
night. We went to the congregation to pray and worship and celebrate the entering
of Shabbat. My heart filled with joy,
unspeakable, full of glory. It still
sings this morning.
We have two Adar this
year, a leap year. Today is the first of Adar Aleph; Adar Beit will include the
Purim celebration, on March 16th. Meanwhile, we enjoy this one.
A few days ago, thousands of
Israelis flooded the Western Wall with prayers for salvation of Israel. They
rallied for the sake of the lands in Judea and Samaria. They came from every
walk of life, including from the Knesset. God had promised, "If my people who
are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and
turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7 14 = דברי הימים ב' ז:14)
That rally must have
gladdened God's heart.
32nd Day of Praise - Thank
you God for a great start of a month of Joy; thank you God for the joy of Your salvation.
Shabbat Shalom,
Looking forward to a Happy Month
