One of the great things about Pesach is
that it is a 7 days celebration and it has at least 3 Shabbat in it.
Tonight April 14 Monday - It is Erev Shabbat
(Shabbat Eve). By sundown around 7:15 pm the Seder night starts and the Shabbat
enters. Therefore April 15 Tuesday -is the first official day of the Passover and
it is Shabbat until sundown around 7:15 pm.
Why? Because it is written, "Leviticus 23:6 …On the first day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor"

By
April 18 Friday- the fourth day of celebrations - it is again Erev Shabbat;
thus the second Shabbat on this Passover. The day of rest enters around 7 pm.
The seventh day April 19, the fifth day out of our 7 days of celebration, is a
Saturday / Shabbat and sundown around 7:15 pm end it.
The
first day of the week after, April 20, Sunday, is… you guessed it…Erev Shabbat.
It is treated as a Friday and the Shabbat enters around 7:15 pm. Monday April
21 is the last day of the Passover and is a Shabbat.
Why? For it is written: "In the seventh day is a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor".

Talk about freedom! Rest and relaxation all around…
104th Day of Praise -
Thank you God for being a God who saves;
Thank You for saving Your nation from slavery and Your people from sin; And thank You for commanding us to rest in our freedom.
Have a great holiday everyone,
Orith

Wow, I didn't realize there were THREE Shabbats! So that is true for every Passover. Wow, plenty of time to celebrate. That is very cool.
