The Dentist

There is pain in my gum. I have no idea how to deal with it - I tried for 2 weeks.

Today, we walked downtown and I went to a dental clinic which has first aid and asked to see a dentist, one that can deal with specifics… I had a choice, they said, to wait for 2 hours or return in the afternoon with an appointment. I chose the appointment. 

I was at the bus stop on time; the bus was late, and I arrived at the clinic 14 minutes after my appointment. The dentist left. "You were late so he left" said one of the young women in the front. 

"Is there another dentist who can see me?" I asked. Oh yes but you have to wait, another 1/2 hour.  When the dentist let me in and looked at the problem she said, "Sorry I only do fillings, I don't deal with this problem".  She suggested a medication and sent me on my way. To see a dentist who deals with the issue would have taken another hour.

I gave up.

Thank you God for dentists; "vengeance is mine, said the Lord" so I am thanking you for this and trust that the pain will subside.  I am doing my best not to create a scene here….
