I Don't Know

Friends visited.  As per usual, the cat went under the bed and hid there.  It is now 8 hours later and Willie finely got her out from there…why does she do that?

I don't know.

Children in the south of Israel are putting little signs all over the network explaining they have to hide, that they fear sleeping in their own beds, that they don't really know what outdoor play is all about.  They are being attacked with rockets for the last 14 years. Why the people in Gaza shooting them with rockets and targeting their homes, schools, play grounds?

I don't know.

Israel protects itself from attacks hoping against all hope for peace and peaceful solutions. The Hamas are beheading their own people, Gaza residents, in retaliation for Israel plea of peace.  Where is the logic in that?

I don't know.

Western young news reporters are caught, abducted, imprisoned, and beheaded in front of the cameras so the world will witness the cruelty of the captures.  Parents of one reported cried out, "We did not know how cruel they are".  After all the reports their own son sent out from the Middle East, how could they have assumed that anyone will negotiate with them for the life of their loved one?

I don't know.

The world is in havoc; nations have gone crazy; countries are blaming Israel and the Jews, total of 14 million - if that many, around the world for the problems they are having with their own billions of citizens.  How one small race on the face of the earth can be hated so much by so many without cause?

I don't know.

What tomorrow will bring?  I don't know.

234th Day of Thanksgiving -

In the 1950s Ira F. Stanphill wrote in a hymn:
"Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand."

Thank you God for being here today and being there in all my tomorrows….Thank you God for knowing the answers...I am glad that you know.

Shabbat Shalom,

Orith
