Smart or Chicken

Sunset
In the last 50 days I have heard every possible description of our PM Benjamin Netanyahu.  The Israelis have loving hearts and talkative mouths at war and at peace.

So today, since the war is officially over even though the southern residents hesitate to return to their homes, I thought I'll check around what people think happened.  The Knesset members and many citizens are lying up to speak against the PM and his conduct in the last 50 days; many are angry at his hesitations of going into Gaza with more forces and killing all in sight; others think that we have enough bombs to simply wipe off Gaza and all of its inhabitants from the face of earth, and some are calling him chicken, a frightful man with inability to do a tough job.  Most are not explaining very logically why he could not sent our boys into the mess of buildings called Gaza.

Willie and I went for our falafel night tonight.  The best reaction came from the older man who served us the falafel.  According to him, He (Netanyahu) could not go in.  "We have to thank God that He gave us such a great leader who counted the lives of our children and would not be pulled into Gaza by the Hamas" Our falafel server said, "The Hamas wired every wall in every house, the floors and the ceilings, and the plumbing inside walls.  Dogs would go in to check and came out with their tails wagging so the soldiers went in and the house blow up in their faces and killed them all.  Our soldiers are very well equipped and had great training but not against such a total craziness.  Instead of 64 dead we would have easily had over 2000 dead and as many wounded if he bought into it and let our IDF go into Gaza on ground.  We should thank God for such a wise and careful leader".

"What about the Knesset members that attack him publicly", I asked.
"Did you notice?"  He said, "Everyone who does not have a son or daughter in IDF is talking - let them have their children in there and they will sing a different song".   "Besides" he added "what are you going to do with 1,800,000 Arab refugees?  We would not have bread to eat here after we feed them all! "

I had to agree.  Our PM is smart not a chicken.

240th Day of Praise -
I praise You God for putting Netanyahu as our PM and our Army's Leader when it was very important to be careful and weary of the tempting calls of the enemies.  Please give him a long and healthy life and keep him as our top politician as long as he continues to listen to the Wisdom that You give him.

Thankful for our national leadership,

Orith
