1st rain |
Did you see the rain?
The office buzzed with that question.
I have never heard such excitement nor seen such smiles over a rain
fall.
The Yore` arrived.
The first rain fall of the season; the sky opened and buckets of water
poured down as if they will never stop coming.
From very early morning, long before the sun came up, all was wet. The
thunder and lightning woke us up, and the smell of wetness rose up to the
windows from the street and the fauna around us; the joy of the first rain.
Only in a country that knows drought, a nation that
celebrates the Festival of Water at the time it celebrates the Feast of the
Tabernacle, such a reaction to a rain fall makes sense.
272nd Day of Praise -
I thank you God for the Yore`, the first rain
fall. I thank you God that this timely
gift reminds us that you promised to give us rain in its season and that we
were blessed with it this new year of surprises.
In Pure Joy,
Orith
