Forgiveness

Cactus' Flowers
In between Yum Truah (New Year/ Day of blowing the Shofar) and Yum Kipur (Day of Atonement) there are ten days.  This is a time set aside to sort out relationships between people: family, friends, co-workers and neighbours.  We are commanded to resolve our issues before we can come to God and ask forgiveness for the entire nation.

So people are saying, "sorry" one to another.

It is amazing how easily people are asking forgiveness out-loud and in public.  However, the reactions are interesting as well.  I have heard comments from, "I will not forgive you" to "I forgave already" and everything imaginable in between.

We even had a discussion about forgiveness in the meeting of the volunteers' group.
I wanted to tell everyone that God the Father forgave us when Yeshua willingly died for our sins and rose again; the last atonement was made long ago.  That opportunity did not present itself.

I did explain that forgiving is what helps us to go on living clean inside without holding a grudge or keeping resentment circulating and poisoning our blood.  Yet, some chose to hold on to their un-forgiveness.

It takes knowing that we are truly forgiven of our sins by a Great God to be able to forgive others easily and readily, every day of the year.

273rd Day of Praise -

Thank you God that you made the way for us to be forgiven by you, by giving us the final sacrifice, the atonement for sins-Yeshua our Messiah.

Feeling clean inside,

Orith
