October 1st already…. and we are learning that the
root of all patience is hardship.
'Savlanut ' is the Hebrew word for patience and its
root, 'sevel', means hardship. It shows in
many ways and raises its head in all kinds of places. This week we learned the hard way that when
you offer help, it is not always accepted the way you meant to give it; and
sometimes it is rejected out of fear about something that has nothing at all to
do with the subject matter; something along the lines of "you can lead a
horse to water, but you cannot make him drink".
So we are learning to move slower and wait for others
to accept the offers of help in their acceptable times.
274th Day of Praise -
"And
beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue
knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to
patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly
kindness charity."
I thank you God for teaching us behaviours long
before we understand that we need to master them.
Calming down slowly,
Orith
