Interim Embassy
|
For a bit over a week now, I keep asking inside my head, "So when
would I see the vision come to pass? When
do we start building?"
Sometimes before we left Canada in 2008, God gave Willie a vision of
an Embassy - a place where new Olim will come to learn Hebrew, to connect to
the Land, to find jobs, to live for a time until they settle… a beautiful
vision.
We thought that a specific empty lot was where it would be build; we
moved to Nahariya and we insisted on living here in the face of many obstacles -
because of the vision; we prayed over and over, gathering in and including
others in our prayers…lots of hope.
The funds were not available; the help of people was not forthcoming;
prayers went up to heaven daily, at times hourly, but nothing materialized in
concrete terms.
Therefore, I was asking.
Habakkuk 2:3 " For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but
at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because
it will surely come, it will not tarry."
When the above verse popped into my head, my response was,
"so?" I had to think it over. I
had to ponder. Answers are not always
easy to understand and even more difficult to accept. By the end of the week I think I got it.
The appointed time is for the vision itself - to come, to be, to materialize.
It is not for the visionary. In other
words, Moses walked 40 years in the desert and saw the Promised Land, but he did
not enter the land; David got the blue prints, but he did not built the temple;
Daniel understood that 70 years had passed and it is time for the return from
exile, but Nehemiah and Ezra went to Jerusalem without him.
The vision became a reality in its appointed time - not always in the time of the one who had the vision.
We are waiting for a huge Aliyah from the West. The West is the last corner of earth where Jews
are living in comfort away from Israel. The Bible promises that it will happen, they
will all come home to Israel, and then afterward, Messiah will come.
The Aliya from the West is coming. Just as the Embassy we saw will be built - In
its appointed time. Whether or not we
will be alive to see it, or the next generation will have that privilege, is immaterial. The vision will come to pass, the prophecies
will be fulfilled, the Will of God did-is-will be done.
354th Day of Praise -
Thank you God for the privilege of seeing a vision from you; I thank you
God for instilling hope in our hearts and understanding in our minds. I thank you God for the coming Messiah and for Your Love.
Learning to wait,
Orith
