SATURDAY – SHABBAT – Day 15 in Iron Swords War.
21.10.2023
The green budgies are back in the trees behind our home. These birds are survivors. A Mania baby was on the corner of our window. A messenger of routine existence, of changing seasons, of “life goes on”.
Not quite yet.
07:30 we had our wake-up call – the artillery fired at the Northern Border. Late for us, but then it is Shabbat after all. I am up and dressed and ready for whatever the day brings. We prayed.
Praying together is a daily routine now, a part of our getting dressed; pleading the blood of Yeshua; putting God's Armour on, and reading Psalm 91. We are soldiers in God's army and need to be ready.
A quiet day. We watch our Khila singing and teaching on the stream.
The 'booms' started early this afternoon – 15:00 instead of 16:00. So I made sure our things to take out with us were ready until Willie reminded me that our safe-room lacked air so we'll stay on the stairs. I turned on my Zoom and joined a bible reading instead.
Quiet after 17:00 but had to close the window for someone outside was smoking a very strong something. Good we are not down in the safe room, one can die from choking...
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer” (2 Samuel 22:2)
My dream of the sea lions bobbing in the water lingers with me. Prayed a lot today. I feel that we need to include the western border of the sea in our prayers. It is becoming urgent in my spirit – an attack is planned from the sea, and that takes over the entire side of the country with Lebanon and Syria borders in the north, and Gaza and Egypt in the south.
Acco, Haifa, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ashdod, Ashkelon – all opened ports along the shores. Not all these ports are being used, but the port entries are natural and available.
So I asked God to protect Israel from all sides, and to equip our land-air-sea IDF with wisdom, tools, and abilities to protect our sliver of land, the only one we have, the land that is so dear to His people.
I'm full of Tirush (grape juice specifically for the blessings, no alcohol) – had the Lord's supper twice today – retiring early to bed.
May we all have a peaceful night.
