FRIDAY - Day 35 of the war 10.11.2023
When I read the news articles online, I saw a discrepancy of one day. Some say we are on the 34th day of the war and others say 35 days have passed.

The Shabbat Elements |
I am sure that the families of the abducted feel like an eternity has passed already. There are some clocks online that are counting the days, hours, minutes and seconds since October 7th when disaster hit. I tried but was unable to copy a counting clock to my blog.
30 children are among the abducted.
Tomorrow will be the 5th Shabbat of the war; A Shabbat without rest or peace.
Israelis are very united in what needs to be done on the fronts but they leave the decisions to the heads of state. They do however participate in all types of volunteer activities, from checking on the elderly by phone to donating time, money and items to the soldiers. We are also united in our help to each other. 74 motorcycles made their way down to the Gaza envelope to help the farmers pick fruits from trees and tend to vegetables on the vines. Young American farmers arrived at the international airport and went down to the south of Israel to help with the harvest. Young people in their teens and others who are not able to join the army have gone to all the farming communities to help out the best they can.
I just received from a physician friend of mine the following: The IDF is now surrounding the different hospitals. Hamas refuses to evacuate patients and medical staff.
When
we light the Shabbat Candles (16:11 tonight) and bless the wine and
the bread, we are praying for the safety of our Soldiers, the farmers
and those who help them, the stolen who are in Gaza tunnels, and the
medical staff all over Israel – in hospitals, in clinics, in
emergencies vehicles and in Gaza.
16:50 The first two “booms” sounded tonight in Nahariya.
God bless us all. May we have a peaceful Shabbat, and may all will return home safe, whole and not traumatized. Amen.

in shadows
In the shadows of yesterdays
God brought us the light
in it we see His Victory
in it we are feed
we are free
stand firm
God brought us the light
to comfort us in dark times
like these.
