“Hkol Beseder” - Everything is fine.
I heard it so often in the last few weeks. Bereaved families, bereaved friends, bereaved nation – but when you ask how things are with them or the family it is always the same answer: Hakol Beseder.
You are alive, regardless of what is going on. There is no personal agenda, no personal pursuit, no personal worry. All attention is on the nation, the army, the unity. What one does for the community is the important agenda. If you are not in the army, what are you giving to others? How do you occupy your time?William H.J. Cunningham
No one cares if you are right or left if you are a Jew, or not. What is important is that you live here, that you are Israeli and you give of yourself to the community. You are part of this united front and you are pro-Israel. Most people volunteer at something, somewhere, or contribute cash and things. When you meet them on the street, they are glad to see you and their answer is always the same, “the same as everyone else; Hakol Beseder”.
Imanu-El, God is with us.
