Jan.7.2024. Sunday.
New Week.
Seems we are into a routine: up at 5:00, shower, dress, check the RedAlert app on the phone for the latest location of rocket fire, drink 2 glasses of water and get ready for a Zoom prayer at 6:00.
By 7:00 clean the cat litter box, collect trash, quick kiss and lock the door, and down the 60 stairs to the main trash on the way to catch the bus which will take us to the post of the day. The routine might change in a few minutes, or we might have to also catch a train and travel out of town, and the day continues with its activities until we manage to arrive at 15:00 after climbing those 60 stairs and preparing for the evenings.
Checking the RedAlert is a must activity, with no sirens, no TV, and no sounds to alert us, it is my only place to find out where they landed. Today, the rockets started around 10:00 am in Gaza and now after 21:00, they are in Sderot and Nir Am and other areas of Gaza envelope. In between they hit the North, mostly on the confrontation line where Nahariya is, but they did not reach us. Praise God.
Our evening was happier as our sons called to check up on us, and that is always fun. Everything is ok with them, an answer to our prayers.
By 20:00 we are heading to bed and to sleep. I tend to linger and read my bible and think. So tonight I'll be sleeping by 21:00.
May the Peace of God beyond all understanding cover you tonight.
