I thank God that Willie is the driver and I can be a passenger while we are visiting. It allows me to pray.

Needs at the start of the war

Our soldiers are fighting with exhaustion. Our Spiritual army is also fighting with exhaustion. I pray for safety, strength, endurance and wisdom for both armies.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

We are told that last Friday 6 soldiers were killed by a friendly fire because the units fought for 3 days without sleep. The big blow-ups in Gaza are caused by the amount of ammunition collected by Hamas and placed in private homes, hospitals, schools, and tunnels. When IDF gets into these areas, it causes explosions.

At the start of the actions, the fighting units needed a few clothing items. Now, almost 7 months into the fighting, their needs became bigger. They move from clothing to protective covers to generators, and today our people were notified that they need drones.

Soldiers are coming to the houses of our contacts who try to supply these needs for and through the units connected to them. Their homes are filled with soldiers coming to collect what they can get for them. All is purchased by private donations from Israel and around the world; collected, prepared and passed to the fighting units by volunteers.

A Labor of Love.

It is hard to hear about. I cannot imagine how difficult and heart-ranching it is to meet the representing soldiers of the units coming to the house. So much trauma on both sides, so much physical pain and over-tiredness.
