Haifa had its first sirens today. |
CHANGE
A change is in the air. It is being processed. Not sure how or what, but it is.
The heroic rescue of the 4 hostages set an upbeat tone in the country. There is a realization that since they found live hostages who lived among families of supporters of Hamas, there must be more of the hostages alive. More Israelis are openly demanding an exchange or some kind of agreement to bring the rest of the abducted home. If no agreement, then a rescue for the entire 120 that are left in the hands of Hamas.
All
of our feasts are considered a time for miracles. The
feast
of
Shavuot is
not different. The prayers are loud and clear and the people are
gathering to ask for miracles with a stronger trust that God is able
and He is using our fighters in all the Security Forces. They ask
the Lord of the Hosts to send His forces of angels to aid rescue and support us.
Most Israelis are secular, but even they are in agreement for prayers to be said for their children and grandchildren who are fighting in the war and believe that somehow our people will overcome.
“‘From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord... This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live. (Leviticus 23:15-22).
A Song of Ascents. Psalm 123
1.
Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens.
2
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their
masters,
As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
So
our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He has mercy on us.
3
Have
mercy on us, O Lord,
have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4
Our
soul is exceedingly filled With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud.
