In the world but not of the world
Shabbat Shalom
“I
would have lost heart unless I had believed
That I would see the
goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait
on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your
heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!" (Psalms
27:13-14 )
On Wednesday and Thursday nights a group of young people
celebrated in the Sinagoug next to us.
They started around 11 pm and left the area at 2am.
Yes, they woke us up.
No, I have no idea what the celebration was about.
Although I was annoyed when their noise woke me up,
it quickly changed into prayer: “Thank God for their
happy sounds.They are
of the same age that of those who serve in the Army.
Please God, keep them safe and happy, they are the
future of our nation.”
This is what this war is all about:
We were attacked by barbarians terrorists in our homes,
on our land, without provocations.
We fight now to protect our people, our land, and our right
to live in peace on our land.
Including the right to be joyous and wake up the neighborhood
with our gladness.
We are still building our God Given Country,
like in the days of Nehemiah:“ Hear, O our God, for we are despised; turn their reproach on their own heads, and give them as plunder to a land of captivity!
Do not cover their iniquity, and do not let their sin be blotted out from before You; for they have provoked You to anger before the builders.”
So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work...
And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” ...
Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built." (Chapter 4)
God
thank You for protecting our leaders, our nation, and our land. Amen.

The fight Israel is fighting is not just for Israel. Despite great ignorance in the world, what you are fighting IS for the world.
