Good Comes out of Bad

Google translator is one of the most aggravating apparatus I've ever used.  However, I use it all the time; with all its faults it is still the best gadget of its kind that I can install on my computer.

I use it to cut corners, to save time, to bring another word as an idea to my head, to try and understand what others who write in foreign languages are trying to convey.  As long as I don't rely on it to translate correctly from one language to another, it is a useful tool.

I am rather thankful for the Google translator.  It taught me patience and grace.

I see my friends writing on Face Book with wrong spellings in English and in Hebrew and no longer do I correct them.  I try to understand their meaning instead.
I hear them speak in both languages incorrectly, and my 'automatic correction pilot' is hardly being used now.

I am learning to pay attention to the meaning.

I am also more peaceful and forgiving with myself over my mistakes in writing and in speech.

147th Day of Praise -

Thank you God for the Google translator and for teaching me through it to overlook mistakes and instead to focus on the intended meaning; thank you for teaching me that the person is the true focal point in every communication and for showing me true grace.

Overcoming perfectionism,

Orith
