TUESDAY – Day 18 in the Iron Swords War.
24.10.2023
I went to my post in the hospital today.
They are doing lots of renovations in the building and one has to go around an obstacle course to get to the section I'm assigned to. There are hardly any patients in my section but the hospital staff are working hard regardless. I am cleaning the archives, and it is a good time to sort it out. The safe room is down the hall and there is no stress.
I found that I'm craving chocolate and carbohydrates. When I started this blog my main concern was to eat healthy and to eliminate pain. It seems that the good intention toward self fell by the wayside somewhere, and most of my friends who are trying to eat correctly are also craving chocolate.
Almost 3rd week into the war, if we continue in that direction there will be no worry regarding the bombing, we'll just explode from over-consumption of sweets.
So as of tomorrow – it's almost supper time now – controlling the carbs is the order of the day. Tonight we'll have some spaghetti.
I'm thankful that in Nahariya there is no shortage of food, water, electricity and any other needed product.
We as older citizens do feel the spiritual war. We are praying often and in the Khila prayer group, we focused today on why the hesitation to enter Gaza by the IDF is important to God. This is a time for sanctification. This was without a doubt a God-reason. It became the prayer focus for today.
That this time of waiting would be a time of consecration for us and our soldiers. That we would all draw close to God, and that every soldier would come to know Yeshua and God’s plan of Salvation during this time.
And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” (Joshua3:5)
God, please teach us how to sanctify ourselves to you. Amen.
