Holocaust Memorial Day
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. (Hebrew 13:15)
We have a country, a state, a place that belongs to us. Praise God.
It was ours since God gave it to our forefathers, and we became a modern state with the approval of the countries that belong to the UN in 1948.
Today, at 10:00 the sirens sang during a long one-minute as a memorial to the 6 million who perished in the gas chambers and the 1,500 who were murdered in the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023.
Immediately afterward, the Alerts application started on the cellular. Iran attacked with hostile aircraft intrusions and rocket fire. It continues still, at 19:00.
Although Nahariya had blue skies most of the day, the country had rain. I don't recall rain on this date before. We heard the thunder in the south, and at times it was hard to distinguish between the fire exchange at the border and the loud sound of anger from the sky. It is quiet at this moment.
Yom Ha-Shua is over, next Monday will be the Yom Zicharon (memorial to the fallen on our land). Only the day after (14.5) we will celebrate Independent Day.
It is the 13th day of the Counting the Omer. We keep counting the days, looking to the day our hostages are free to come home.
